Takanori Mikado (御門 貴法 Mikado Takanori?) is the one of the main characters of the Shichisei no Subaru light novel and protagonists of the anime series. The sub leader of Subaru who has feelings for Asahi. While Takanori is intelligent, like Haruto he was oblivious to the affections of his friend Nozomi and was shocked that he never noticed her behavior.

Background
Takanori along with other members of Subaru were elementary schoolers, who enjoyed adventuring and playing together as a guild in the VRMMORPG game, Union. When encountering the dungeon boss, Asahi Kuga is killed in the game protecting Haruto. Asahi subsequently dies from heart failure in the real world. Takanori along with Satsuki and Nozomi attended Asahi's funeral, upon seeing Haruto stirred up his rage and instigated him to shove Haruto to the ground and he blamed Haruto for the death of Asahi.

Nozomi Kusaka
Nozomi, since a young age, had feelings for Takanori which he never noticed. When Satsuki told Takanori about her feelings, he was determined to save Nozomi and make up with her. It is hinted he developed feelings for her.
Subaru members
Haruto Amō
Takanori and Haruto were former guild members and used to get along however, they became more distant towards one another after Asahi Kuga’s death. During the funeral for Asahi, he pushed Haruto down yelling at him for killing Asahi. Since then, their relationship has gone downhill.
Abilities
- Natural Laws:- Allows Takanori to manipulate the rules of the world and make him able to do anything based on analysis to make physical changes to something.
